The original First Baptist Church building was being torn down in 1924, as the congregation has outgrown the $2500 structure. This church was completed in 1886, the first 'real' home for First Baptist in Wichita Falls, Texas. Prior to that time, members met at a school house, in the courthouse, member's homes and even shared Sundays with the Presbyterians in their church.
