on the 1st day of July 1877, resume the practice of medicine and surgery. Although not

Dr. Cagle operated on a little child of Geo. Glasgow's, Esq, for Hare-lip, closing a fissure
in the upper lip, three quarters of an inch wide, and extending into the nostril. The
operation was a perfect success; the child is now well and the parents are happy. The
Doctor operated by a new method of perfoming this very delicate operation which is
much more successful than the old method of cutting down through the free edge of the
lip.
